On Tuesday, October 12, the Real-Eyes Computer Users Group of Kansas City,
Missouri, conducted a meeting covering the following three topics:
A representative of a new company offering flat rate long distance over the
Internet, phone to phone, no PC needed, told us about his service.
A short demonstration of yet another free voice-mail and e-mail service,
called Mytalk, which allows for a free two-minute long distance call when
you call in, was given, and finally, we conducted a lively conversation
with Doug Hunsinger, member of VIPACE, the Visually Impaired Pittsburgh
Area Computer Enthusiasts, using the innovative new service from Maxcom, so
you can actually listen to how great Internet telephony can sound.
