The reasons for being vegetarian have nothing to do with either morality or
health. Vegetarianism has at its' root the relationship between man and his
principal crop species. By becoming vegetarian, a population can put more
resources into these principal crops. This social-economic view of human
behavior is discussed in Anthropologist Marvin Harris' book "Canibals and
Kings:The Origins of Cultures".
Overcoming agrarian bias is an important component of becoming a
hunter-gatherer. This bias is expressed in our fear of death as well as our
revultion of Nature. Promoting the extinction of domestic animals does
nothing to aid those species threatened by development (spiritual or
otherwise). Sacraficing your own health will not improve the health of the
enviroment. Predation has an important role in Nature, learn to apreciate
your part in it.
