Hal,
I just installed an HP Deskjet 560C and removed an Okidata Microline
(which for some reason I had to install it for the computer to read as
an IBM Proprinter for it to work).
I configured it as my default printer and had no problem printing from a
webpage. However, I had the same problem you had when I tried to print
a Quicken report. I eventually figured out that although I had also
checked the printer setup from within the Quicken program and set the HP
as the default printer, there was still another option within Quicken
where I had to do the same thing before it stopped using the old Okidata
as the default.
So, I can only suggest for you to check and see if you might have a
similar situation. It was a silly thing, but it was 2 a.m. and I'm no
computer expert.
Good luck, Sophie
