Wheat grass and Barley grass are both gluten free. The gluten is in the
grains, not in the grass.
Wheat grass and barley grass are very nourishing. They contain many
amino acids, which are the building blocks of proteins and they also
contain many vitamins, minerals and trace minerals. If you buy it
organic, it contains all the more nutrients.
There is the possibility, I suppose, of some contamination with some
companies, but the health benefits are so great that I feel it would be
worth it to find a company one trusts and whose products can be consumed
with no reaction (I am very sensitive to any gluten at all so I would
know if I got some).
One person asked why take the chance. The answer is above. It's very
nutritious and is probably the best answer for anyone who is celiac or
gluten intolerant and also a vegetarian.
Thanks for all your responses!
