I received a private email from someone saying I should have kept my
discussion about pdf file conversion on private email so the whole list
didn't have to hear it.  Considering that several others engaged in this
discussion it seems to me that someone ebbesides me on this list was
interested.  However I apologize to those who thought it was off topic.  By
the way, I wonder what is and is not off topic for this list and what
should be sent privately given the somewhat wide ranging nature messages I
notice appearing here.  However my apologies to those who found the
discussion of pdf files tedious.
