Doug,

FAT 32 is NOT your problem.

Any flavor of Win 95 will install and run just fine on a FAT 32 drive.

Since you used the term "...FAT 32 compression" --
FAT 32 drives can not be compressed.  If your drive is actually
compressed, then most likely that is where your problem lies.
