Try uninstalling and reinstalling your sound card.
To do this goto Multimedia in the Control Panel
delete everything in Audio Devices, MIDI Devices...,Mixer...,and Line
Input.
Delete everything referencing your sound card (and Awe 64--good choice :)
Then close everything and Shutdown and reboot your computer,
Be sure you have your system disks ready. I think there is an installation
program with the AWE 64 setup disk anyways, it might be wise to use that.
Also, check in System, for conflicts.
