Celeron fits in Slot 1; Slot 1 boards don't provide L2, that's left
up to the processor package. So "completely without L2" is correct
for all current Celerons.

Intel claims that the .25 micron process will allow them to produce
a Celeron CPU and L2 cache on a single chip, possibly before
year-end. Current P2s have several chips inside the package, so this
will reduce costs. But you can't yet buy a Celeron with L2.

It's going to depend on the process load, but I figure a Celeron
needs to be spotted 66-100 MHz to compensate for the lack of L2. I
haven't personally benchmarked one; the last system I even considered
it for, I went with a PII-300 instead.
