Actually, coffee "beans" are seeds of the coffee plant. Just about all
plants put out seeds in various forms which vary widely in the amount of
carbohydrate content.  I doubt you get much carb from brewed coffee. When I
first reduced carbs, I would get cravings from coffee but I am sure they
were psychological, based on my previous habits causing an association
between coffee and something sweet, like a muffin, danish, etc. I still
drink 2 cups a day but the cravings are no longer there.  Also, I think it
was the comedian Paul Riser who said tea tastes like sh##!
