Was this a water fast? If it was, then your reaction is pretty typical.
Water fast are very hard on the system for the first few days. In some
cases for the whole stretch for certain individuals. Most people do much
better on juices, either vegetable or fruit. Or one could make simple
broths and drink those instead. If you want to simply have a day of light
eating, I would say have just small qualtities of raw vegetables or fruits
if you can handle the sugar. Grapes or greens would likely be best, and of
course plenty of water, with a bit of lemon in it.
