Hello Suzanne,

I'm afraid I don't know anythinkg about the casein and whey issues.
Casein, I believe, is the protein in milk and as far as I know they
don't change that at all.  Whey, on the other hand, is the liquidy part
and that IS lactose reduced since the whole milk is.

As far as taste is concerned:  Jeez, it's been so long since I had
un-lactaided milk I don't remember.  Most people who have tasted both
say there is a difference:  of course some say it tastes sweeter than
normal milk and some say not as sweet.  It's different, and I don't really
like just a glass of Lactaid by itself; but in other foods like cereal and
such, it's fine.
