Actually, I did not know for a long time that there
was lactose in meds. because I stopped taking them
long before my Dx. I only found out after I had
surgery to remove a cyst, and I reacted to one of the
meds they put me on. I had been completely milk free
for over 2 years so one pill immediately put me over
the edge. As the severity of my reactions increase
(including temporary paralysis on the right side of
my face & neck, etc.) I really can't risk it.

The allergist told me I could very well die from this
allergy. I am not happy about it, and was very upest
and confused for a long time. I have learned to cope
with it, but find people are not very sympathetic and
do not take it seriously at all, especially those in
the medical field & food industry.

Sorry to go sour there for a second, I am still a
little bitter about being an Italian who cant eat
Italian food <pout> but at least I can eat Jewish
food, eh?

Thanks for putting up with my ranting.

Manda
