I've been told on a few occasions that I could not request diary or
meat kosher meals.

We have reservations on United to fly in 2 weeks.  When I confirmed
our meals last week, I was able to specify kosher chicken (since
Daniel also has a beef allergy).  I will confirm 48 hrs before the
flight and will also bring food with us--
