As a voracious reader of history, I have to laugh when I hear
hypocritical Republicans and whimpy Democrats say Clinton's
impeachment will be forever a black mark on his presidency.  What a
laugh!  It will be as black a mark as the totally partisan impeachment
of Andrew Johnson was on his presidency.  Therefore, I thought I'd
write what an historian a hundred years from today might say to
describe President William Jefferson Clinton's presidency:

          WILLIAM JEFFERSON CLINTON, 42nd President of the
     United States:  From his candidacy in 1992, fanatical
     Right Wing partisan Republicans, unable to defeat Clinton
     on the issues, attempted to smear him by implicating
     Clinton in murders, drug running, and countless sexual
     crimes.  A hypocritical, partisan Republican congress,
     driven by fascistic Christian conservative Republican
     moral hypocrites, who were opposed to civil rights,
     affirmative action, the minimum wage, environmental
     regulations, and better health care for the poor, and who
     committed various and similar "sexual crimes" and
     unethical acts themselves, were only successful in
     shutting down the government and stifling the business
     of congress for eight years.
          Clinton, never ceasing to move the country forward
     despite the constant political harassment from the Right,
     fought for better health care, affirmative action, and
     better education.  And despite endless partisan
     investigations from the fanatical Republican conservative
     majority, Clinton managed to balance the budget and
     create the most prosperous country in U.S. history at the
     end of the 20th Century.
