2003 NEIGHBORHOOD CONFERENCE IN TWO WEEKS. REGISTER TODAY TO SAVE YOUR PLACE! PLEASE CIRCULATE TO OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES!

Mark your calendar for Neighborhood Voices, the 2003 Neighborhood Conference

WHEN: Saturday, October 4 from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
WHERE: Monona Terrace Community and Convention Center

Mayor Cieslewicz is excited to spend the morning rolling up his sleeves with neighborhood leaders at the upcoming Citywide neighborhood conference. This year's conference will give community and neighborhood leaders a chance to let City government know what's on their minds and offer advice on what can be done to make this City's neighborhoods even better.

This fourth biennial neighborhoods conference is a way to support neighborhood associations in their local efforts. The one-half day event will focus on discussing what is important to neighborhood leaders and how we can work together to continually grow strong, dynamic neighborhood leaders. Neighborhood residents and people who care about neighborhoods are invited to attend.

The conference will concentrate on emerging issues identified by attendees through brainstorming, prioritizing, and voting on important issues. This will help the City better understand what neighborhoods are facing and how we can help neighborhood leaders be prepared and successful in their community work.

THERE ARE SEVERAL EASY WAYS TO REGISTER:

· Online registration at Madison Neighborhood Association Web page: http://www.ci.madison.wi.us/neighborhoods/index.htm.

· Contact Department of Planning & Development, Planning Unit at (608) 267-8727 Ext 211 to provide registration information.
