A word of caution:
I have a US Robotics internal Sportster 56K voice modem. The W2 parameter
disables the modem so that it does not communicate at all. That is, dial out
failed, I got an error message that instructed me to "turn off the modem and
turn it on again". I had to delete the W2 parameter and "cold" reboot the
system to get the modem to work again.

Ain't this stuff fun??
