Yes. I have been hospitalized with accidental MSG (monosodium
glutamate) ingestion, for instance. I am particularly sensitive to
SMOG, which causes me endless misery whenever I have to go back to
civilization. Solvents are a huge problem for me; any tiny airborn
amount makes me very sick.
There is a sizable colony of chemically-sensitive people here (Dolan
Springs, Arizona, USA). Unfortunately, there are almost zero jobs in
the area, although telecommuting is practical finally.
