Thanks to all who responded to my question about Centrum vitamins, most of the
responses indicated that they are not GF, some are using them without
problems, maybe they are not as sensitive as others, I did have problems while
using them and will not take any chances with them.

Trevor.

Here are summaries of the responses:

I have had good luck with Twin Lab vitamins which are gluten and soy free.
I react to both gluten and soy.
There are many others, especially if you are not soy intolerant. Otherwise
choose an uncoated vitamin. Check with a local health food store. This is
information given to me by my nutritionist, but is not medical advice.

I have one of the Stokes pharmacy references. I looked but did not find
Centrum vitamins listed among the Gluten free vitamin preparations.

I got tired of this exact same thing with "regular" vitamins
from regular stores. I started buying mine at GNC stores.
They are all labeled gluten free, I think dairy free also. There
should be a store around you. They are all over the country.
Additionally, I think for $5.00, you can join a "club" where
the 1st Tuesday of every month you get 20% additional off
your purchases.

I called them and they said that they did not guarantee that Centrum's
gluten-free - they may have even said they had gluten, I don't remember. I
switched to "Nature Made" vitamins, which always says on the label if
they're gluten or lactose free.

I can't help you with the GF part of Centrum but my husband and I both took
them about a year ago and both became sick. As soon as we went off them we
were better. I never could figure out what was in them. We have no trouble
with other vitamins.

We checked in June or July of this year and were told that Centrum aren't GF
we switched to CVS Spectravite Multi Vitamins. I believe CVS has an 800 #
on the back of their products.

Our support group researched this several months ago and the determination was
made that Centrum vitamins were NOT GF. At that time I switched to using
Theragram-M which is similar in content and is GF. I live in Michigan. Hope
this helps!

Centrum vitamins contain gluten. Theragran multivitamins are gf.
Also most of SOLGAR VITAMINS that you buy in the health food store are gf.
Freeda Vitamins that you must order by mail are all gf. Call 1-800-777-3737.

I was told no to vitamins on the market..... I buy Freeda vitamins and you
can get them at most natural health food stores. If you have a problem,
like I do at times, I buy everything from Stokes pharmacy out of New Jersey.
They are excellent to talk to about everything you may need. They also work
with my doctors when I need a prescription and make special compounds of the
medicine for me. Their telephone number is: (800)754-5222 or (609)654-5222
Address: 639 Stokes Rd Medford, NJ 08055
