Someone was writing about being in a 4-month plateau.
Plateaus are a problem, and I've had two that have nearly been that long,
but... I choose to believe that my body is using the plateau to get used
to my big weight loss, before dumping still more weight. They tended to
occur every 10 to 15 lbs. for me.
I'm nearly to my goal (started at 196 lbs, goal is 135 lbs, I'm 5'6"), but
seem to have been stuck at 140 since about February, with a few brief
forays down to 138 lbs before going back up to 140. I'm not worrying
about it, though.
I had a prolonged plateau after losing my first 15 lbs on Atkins (Fall of
1995); I think I didn't lose any weight for a few months, then started
down again.
