Hi Mary:
Good to hear from you again. Try putting the meat in the freezer for
a little while. Maybe one hour, maybe two. Just until it begins to get
firm, but not frozen. Then with a very sharp knife you should be able
to cut it thin enough. I have a wonderful electric meat slicer. I got
it at Sam's about 2 years ago and it cost around $25.00, but I haven't
seen any more for a long time. Also, I have found that the blender
works _much_ better than the food processor. Break pieces of the dried
meat into the blender, pulse on high till fluffy and then dump into a
bowl and do another batch. I can do a whole eye of the round in about 7
minutes this way. It helps to have a long table knife handy to run
around the bottom inside of the blender jar after every third or fourth
batch to keep accumulations down. I wish I could come and help you
personally.
Love,
Bev
