I started NeanderThin in May. While I can only guess my initial
weight, 350 sounds about right. At 282 I am now seventy pounds lighter
and wiegh what I did in high school. I am at the borderline between
Morbidly Obese and merely quite fat.
I platued this week. (In fact, I went from 280 to 282). So I
figured what I needed to do was eat more. (Check out "Monday" in
NeanderThin. It's 6500 calories)! I heard a lot about the healthful
benifits of fiber. Celery has lots of fiber, but it's a vegitable. I
used to love celery and peanut-better though. So when I was at the
healthfood store I got me some almond-butter. Non-hyrodenganted all
natural. I wanted to get raw-butter, but it had a caveit about the
possibility of being contaminated by peanuts. I know that nut oils are
bad, but I can't recall if almond butter is going to kill me or not.
Anyone know?
Other questions revolve around Ginko. If I am understanding how
it works, what makes a $40 bottle of ginko pills better than a $4 bottle
of asprin. I am in a -very- hard class this year, and need any smartdrug
I can get into my system.
About a month ago I had what was one symtom shy of a panic attack.
In waves, for a few days, I would feel a "surge" of something in my heart,
although the heart rate wouldn't increase. It's a feeling like a mixture
of joy and dread - but no emotions were attached to it - only the physical
sensation. I -did- see a doctor about it, and he told me to eat a bowl of
raisin bran. I got some bloodwork done, but so far I have yet to even
know the results. It hasn't come back, but it still scared the shit out
of me that I was going insane. I cannot confirm or deny it being diet
related unless anyone else can colaborate my experience.
My NeanderThin is pretty much chili with juice in the mornings and
salads on the weekends. It's not always like that, but this week it's
bowl after bowl of chili (and, of course, the odd steak). I'm trying to
break out of the thermodynamic mode and accept the data that the more
calories I eat, the more weight I will loose, but it's hard.
On the very bright side, my uniform for work is WAY to large. I
hope that sometime next week I will be able to go to the distric office
and get a new shirt and pants. Without a belt, my work pants would be
around my ankles. I ware sweats, so I don't know for sure where I'm at,
but it's either 48 or 46. That's a big pants size, but it's down from 54.
I've been looking over before & after pictures and really seeing the
difference 50 lbs can make even on a fat person. I look a -lot- less like
Humpty Dumpty.
