You will find it has changed a good deal, for better or worse:
East 6th St. is no longer home of porn theaters, but is a slighly
"bohemian" area of auditary & culinary pleasures;
Hattie's is no longer the pleasure palace at the end of S. Congress, in
fact it is completely gone;
the Capitol & the Tower dominate less of the skyline, as more tall
buildings have been raised; the Tower is orange less often than 30 years
ago;
the city where marijuana was once almost openly smoked, now has some of
the toughest anti-smoking (tobacco) laws in Texas.
It's still a fun city, one I enjoy visiting every 3 months when I go for
meetings.
