Cyrix was purchased by National Semiconductor a while ago.
They are not going "out of business", they are abandoning the
pc cpu market in favor of dedicated integrated circuits, like
cellular phones, etc. No more socket seven form factor cpus,
since I doubt there are many specs calling for zif sockets outside
of motherboards.

By the way has anyone else heard the rumor that Cyrix is going out of
Business! I was purchasing some Cyrix MII CPU's the other day and asked
my supplier why they where selling MII 266 CPU's for $9.70 (That's right
$9.70) They told me Cyrix was going out of Business, and they wanted to
get rid of them now. I also purchased the 333 MII for $28.00 What a
bargain. Not the Best CPU, by far, but what a nice price!
