Thanks for the response. He has since had the mb and case replace and had the
system running for a while; then upon adding a sound card and SCSI card (both
PCI) the troubles began again. We thought it might have been the SCSI card, as
the system worked fine once that was pulled. However, an hour or later,
blip....
A cursory inspection on my part revealed a working fan, and the case is
opened. However, I'm can't say for sure if fan powers up with each boot.
