Hello!

I sent this problem around to the folk at work and an associate mentioned
that there is a possibility that the first computer is possibly changing the
impedance value  (the electrical potential?) of the phone line, which might
be causing the problem.

I have discovered I cannot connect to my ISP from my PC when
her PC is on, though her dial up connection is terminated.
