  No.

  In theory, Intel *might* have been able to make a Celeron fit the
"Socket 8" used by the Pentium Pro, but instead they've designed a new
"Socket 370" mounting for it.
  Because the PPro/PII/Celeron implement L2 cache on the CPU and DIB
(Dual Independent Bus(es)), shoehorning any of these into Socket 7 was
never really an option.
