NOOOOOO, NOT ALL THE TIMES !!! I recommend first analyze the source (I have
a friend that managed to burn up 3 motherboards until he got to the power
source). Everything worked ok, like for the guy you were talking to, meaning
the fan, the HDD (the 12-volt part). But at a lab, we discovered that on
power-up, the source provided on the 5V part about 8V (for a fraction of a
second or so, but enough to burn it up).
