In reference to a previous BP discussion regarding mythical dimensions, and
meanings, of the Washington monument you may want to check out the cover of
Peter Lefcourt's political satire, _The Woody_. The protagonist is a Vermont
Senator with erectile dysfunction. Actually, only one of his many problems.
Off topic for BP? I believe the meaning of a structure has something to do
with our desire to preserve it. I could not resist purchasing the book and
have been laughing all weekend as a result. Lest I run afoul of copyright
