US Robotics has modems made specifically to work with 3.1. You can check
them out at
http://www.usr.com/home/online/ . However, I think you will have to use an
external on the PS/1.

PS (pun intended) I don't think the PS/1 was not sold with a modem faster
than 2400 baud. It's also very refreshing to read email with capitalization,
punctuation and sentence structure once in a while, thanks.
