I posted originally posted this to PCSoft without success so thought I'd
try the PCBuild list. Hope you don't mind.
A few days ago there was a message about using AVP to clean out a certain
virus. Next, someone posted that the program reported to them, they have
a I/O boot error.
Next, somebody suggested they use their emergency boot disk to fix the
problem. It is my understanding this did not fix their problem.

I downloaded and ran the program also, and it reported the same thing,
I/O boot error. My question, is what is this and how to fix it? My
system is running smoothly now, amd 233, win95B, fat 32, 72 meg ram.

what will (can) this I/O boot error, be doing to my performance? or How
does it affect my system?

sorry if this is a poor way to phrase things.

Thank you very much for any replies.
