I have just upgraded to win98. You don't need DOS to install win98, the
only thing you need is a bootable floppy which contains cdrom driver (to
run setup from cd), I use MSCDEX.exe.
I have seen the CAB file problem once while I was using win95. I don't
know why it happened, but reformat your harddisk and start over will fix
the problem.
