On the lowcarb tech list, Lyle McDonald has often quoted a study
from Phinney that shows that side-effects of ketosis can be
corrected by *sodium* supplementation on a large scale: 4 or 5
grams a day.  If one's paleo diet is at the ketogenic end of the
spectrum, it makes sense to try a formula such as yours, with
special emphasis on salt.  I suggest sea salt, since it has
potassium and magnesium as well as sodium.  I think the problem
is not dehydration but electrolyte loss caused by diuresis.
