My opinion,
One must never confuse a healthy diet with survival. If Y2K is really
a disaster ( I believe it will be a non-event )
then the added stress of trying to keep eating paleo could be more
unhealthy than eating whatever is available.
Stress is probably the largest factor in health, far more influential
than diet.

i agree with your brother. i don't think there will be, either (famous
last
words!)
but, to be on the safe side, i think i'll try to have lots of jerky,
pemmican (if i can get the hang of making it), nuts, dried fruits on
hand.
meat will be OK, since this will be in the middle of winter, we can
just
leave it on the back porch to keep cold. could cook it on the
woodstove in
the cellar.
i have a friend who is planning on setting up a kids' pool in his
basement,
to have plenty of water.
JoAnn.
