Going Paleo simply takes will power. After a week or two the cravings
go away. Once you see the scale going down (for me, 1 pound a day)
on low carb, you will easily find the will power.

I find that a little cheese seems to be OK. Milk products are porbably not
totaly non-Paleo. Hunter-Gatheres often consider the udder a delicasy and
highly edible part of game. After all, cheese is an animal product. When I was
doing the Atkin's diet (less than 20 gm. carbs per day) I found cheese in my
omlets to be fine.

Hey everyone,
I just ordered NeanderThin....I can't wait to get it...it looks
extremely interesting. :) Today, I've been eating low carb, and I would
have been almost paleo except I had some cheese on my chicken. I'm sure
it's going to take me some time to get into the real swing of things.

This morning I had some decaf coffee and I'm really craving
something sweet right now, so I may end up with a diet coke. How long
did it take all of you to get used to paleolithic living? I really need
to take off that last 15 lbs and I just can't wait to start feeling more
energetic and being able to concentrate better.

I also have the protein power book...but I'm not sure I would be
able to eat so few carbs. Who knows, I may shock myself. So far, I had
an egg for breakfast and a chicken breast with cheese and bacon for
lunch. I know they say you don't need to worry about calories, but I'm
still in my old thinking and keep counting the calories.

I've always believed that a truly healthy person shouldn't have
to count calories to maintain a healthy body weight. Anyway, I'm really
hoping that this will be the answer to my health problems and that I'll
finally start to feel good. :) Thanks to you all for being here.
