I'm Tanya, 27, in Tennessee, with a newly discovered intolerance to milk.
I've been on the list for maybe 6 months. Still trying to figure out if I'm
LI or allergic because doctors don't seem to know what I'm talking about
when I ask questions. I have now given up milk completely but with much,
much difficulty (It's so hard to resist chocolate and cheese!).
I'm starting to suspect a life long hidden allergy. I read how a hidden
milk allergy can manifest itself as colic in an infant (which I had) and if
never treated then could "hide" until one reaches their 20s or 30s and by
that time it has started affecting the immune system (I have been sick with
sinus infections and swollen lymph nodes for months and no medicine has
helped).
Anybody heard of this before? My doctors think I'm nuts.
