Foods that have "purines" in them contribute to gout. You can find
lists of purine-containing foods by doing a web search. I have found
that being careful of these foods has kept me from ever having a second
attack of gout. The first attack was preceded by my eating two full
platefuls of Octopus Kelaguen (recipe previously given on this list!).
