A most informative and interesting post. ISP and mail server problems
have kept me offline so I have some catching up to do.
I remember much that I had forgotten about raw food and the natural way
reading this post, so thank you. In my extreme youth I read a nonfiction
book by the American novelist Louis Bromfield, on the benefits of natural
farming. A natural ecology gives a natural environment and natural
food. Without pharmaceutical chemicals the
farm the soil and its bacteria takes care of itself.

as you say so well. In such an environment I believe a person *will*
'asymptomatically' excrete certain parasites. Such a person will
also have a strong immune system and 'germs,' (these little beasties
do get a bad rap all in all) will be little problem for this person will
cultivate just the
right fauna and flora for their organism. The posters on this list who
advise caution in eating raw meat are correct IMO. I did not grow up
eating raw meat, a big factor in my caution in doing so now, but,
obviously,
one must be in good health and know the food and know the do's and
don'ts.
I live in Los Angeles and it is getting more difficult all the time
to know where our food comes from and how it was treated.
The commercial soils are not as healthy as they used to be and
the foods and the animals that eat these foods, not as healthful.

And grass-fed cattle? Amusing if one can laugh a this kind of
irony, CNN Headline News, a national broadcast, had a report earlier
this year that cattle provided GLA, a good fat, that 'fought' heart
disease - unfortunately, and this was in the news report, only 10% of
this GLA was present in commercial feedlot cattle, 100% in grass-fed
cattle.
10% is also the percentage of good fats you get if you buy
'farm-raised' salmon. Farm-feed is often feedlot feed, a
processed mixture of grains and whatever else. You get 100% of what
the salmon will produce eating their natural diet, which inlcudes their
omega-3 sources, krill and other microscopic beasts.
