Hi,
A holistic chiropractor gave a talk on celiac disease at our last support
group meeting. She talked of "sub-clinical" celiac disease which cannot be
tested by the blood antibody tests but is only detected by the saliva
tests. She said if a child has celiac disease, then one parent also has
it, but the parent may have "sub-clinical" celiac. The definition of
sub-clinical celiac seemed to be a gluten intolerance that does not
manifest itself as full blown celiac.
She herself has a child and a parent with celiac disease. She said she has
"sub-clinical" celiac disease.
Has anyone else heard of sub-clinical celiac or heard that it does not skip
a generation?
Another thing - she said there is gliadin in soy products, especially tofu
and tempeh.
