Dan,

I use a device called "ComShare450 Telephone Line Sharing Device by Command
Communications". I can't recall if I purchased it at CompUSA or Computer
City. I think Radio Shack also carries something similar. I have my
answering machine and modem both connected to it. The device can determine
if the incoming call is from a fax machine a route it to the fax/modem.

Subject: [PCBUILD] Make modem selectively answer incoming call?

Hi
This may be obvious for someone out there. I want to setup up my fax
modem to automactically answer all incoming fax call and leave all voice
call alone, so the phone will ring and I can answer using my phone.
Which software/modem/device/setting should I consifer. TIA

Dan
