I suppose there is a possibility you could 'IF' the board has the
appropriate jumpers to allow you to set the voltage, bus speed, etc.

Chances are that if it's an IBM board, you won't be able to do that.  I also
don't think you would have much luck in getting IBM to reveal any jumper
settings for this type of procedure.

It seems to me that even if you did swap the CPU, you would still be faced
with the problem of the BIOS and the Y2K problem the old BIOS chips have.
