Since most of the scientific community apparently rejects the view that
the Cro-Magnons were descended from the Neanderthal, I'm wondering if you
could give a pointer or two to some literature that supports your view.
I have been reading on this topic lately and have been unable to find
anything.

Todd & Ray-- It would seem that DNA work would argue that the Neanderthals
died out without intermixing. However, there is a paleoanthropologist at
the University of Michigan who still argues that Neanderthals did
interbreed with CM. I've seen him interviewed several times on the likes
of the Discovery Channel, the Learning Channel, and PBS. I would probably
recognize his name if I saw it. But there is lead for you to follow to
try to obtain this scientific literature.
