Anyone on the list who would like to meet on IRC during the VIPACE
meeting should drop us a note.
Doug Hunsinger plans to show how the Voxware Internet telephone software
works. If you would like to set up a schedule with us for Tuesday
evening with this or a similar live connection, let us know in advance.
Another option might be the teleconference on GBX.
Join us at our meeting even if you're a thousand miles away!

Driving Lessons on the Info Highway Traffic Alert!
The August 26 meeting of Visually Impaired Pittsburgh Area Computer
Enthusiasts will take place at 13th and Carson Street on the
Southside.
The JAVA13 cyber cafe will provide Internet connections and the
opportunity to enjoy sandwiches, snacks, and believe it or not,
coffee!
President Doug Hunsinger and Jim Vaglia will demonstrate and compare
access to internet search engines. . Doug Hunsinger will use JFW and a
Windows based browser while VIPACE member Jim Vaglia will use a DOS
communications program in combination with the lynx web browser.
Internet audio, Internet relay chat, voice communication, and more
will be shown as time permits. Bring your questions and computer
related problems.
Anyone, member or not, is welcome to join us Tuesday August 26 from
5:30 to 7:30 P.m at Java 13. It just might be your lucky day.
