Heck, I've used this method myself, but that was before I knew of its
weaknesses and potential for causing problems. These problems will
usually show up a little at a time, (if at all), farther down the road,
and will be so spread out that they are generally attributed to other
causes.
I stand by the "unsafe" label. It's definitely not an exaggeration. The
*potential* for corruption is there and the likelihood is high, that's
all. You can still beat the odds, though.
