Check to make sure your bios settings are for a 6.4 GB drive. Reset to
proper settings, fdisk again with
fat32 enabled.

Hello to the Group....
I picked up a new WD 6.4 GB with plans to set up in a new unit I'm
building. Droped it in and did a FDISK....rebooted and did a FORMAT C:
when it got to 71% it started clicking and I got the following
Trying to recover allocation unit 1,119,559.......it continued along
going up a number every 97 sec..........it was up to 1.119.713 last time
I looked ??????? whats going on ?.....should I let it keep going hoping
it find all the things its looking for or start over with a different
type of set up disk......I have a WD EZ-bios but those always want to
split up the drives at 2gb.
