PGA 370 appears to be some new format for celeron that is compatible with a
new 440ZX66 chipset, it sounds like it is geared to low end systems but I
can't really figure out where they are going with the celeron line. The
Celeron 266 - 333 will fit in slot 1. However, according to this months
issue of Maximum PC the new 450 and 500 MHz Katamai processors due out
early next year will also be compatible with the Slot 1 format and the
440BX chipset, so it sounds to me like slot 1 isn't dead yet. I have heard
of slot 2 ... is this for the Xenon processors and geared at servers? Not
sure.
