You bet it does. In fact it's the only thing that's ever worked for me. I
lost 50 lbs. on it from Feb to July of 97 before my surgery. I can't say
*anything* has worked that well for me though things have been more
difficult since my surgery. However, I have to admit that I haven't be as
precise about sticking to the plan as I was when I was really trying to lose.

Most amazing, from the good habits that program seems to instill, it's the
only one I've ever been on where I didn't immediately regain *all* I'd lost
after going off it. And the Heller's program does result in good
cholesterol, HDL, LDL, BP, blood-sugar and all the rest - as promised.

An interesting possibility is to combine

This is what I'm thinking of trying. When I was on it before, I did eat
desserts (typical ones with sugar, flour, etc.) but I think the Heller's
program certainly can be done along more Paleo lines.
