The maker of Trident gum has a warning for people with milk allergies.
Warner-Lambert is taking two new Trident products off the shelves so they
can be relabeled to better warn people with milk allergies not to use them.
The products are Trident for Kids and Trident Advantage. They contain
Recaldent, a milk derivative.
The company says at least two children have suffered allergic reactions, but
both recovered.
The products can be identified by an oval-shaped Recaldent logo on the front
of the package. The company says it plans to make the logo more prominent on
the new labels.
Consumers who have questions can call Warner-Lambert's consumer affairs
department at (800) 524-2854.
