Ok, OK... distance from front or rear bumper of your parked motor vehicle to
hydrants is supposed to be a minimum of 10'. I'm not sure if this is from a
centerpoint of the hydrant, or an outer edge. You are not allowed to block
handicap ramps, and there probably is a footage minimum there but hell if I
know what it is, just don't park anywhere near them. The brownies are now not
eyeballing the distance, as previously practiced, but using a tape measure to
be exact. The theory is that if you protest 100% of parking violations that
you will win on 50% because either the paperwork is too much work for them, or
the  incident is not provable.
