Hello everybody!
I have an AMD K6-2-350 running at 2.2v core coltage, as I remember. I tried to
overclock it by just increasing the core frequency (not by much) but it won't
work O.K. I know I should try to increase the voltage setting by 0.1-0.2V, but
I'm not sure this is such a good idea. Could this destroy/burn my processor? My
motherboard would only allow me to increase voltage setting by 0.2V anyway, and
it sounds kind of dangerous.
Please tell me of any -- good or bad -- such experiences, so I'll know what to
expect.
I have read in a local magazine that 0.2V voltage increase should not harm the
processor, but they were talking about Celeron processors, which have a higher
tolerance at higher voltages as far as I know.
TIA!
