Ram failure happens, but is rare. Unless you spend some time inside your
computer-- installing new hardware or what not. You may have accident
brushed up against,without
knowledge against that stick, and static electrity got a hold of that one.
But I wound believe that
stick was just a bad one--doomed to fail sooner rather than much much later.
I have gotten MGV in the past and they're fairly reliable
for what I've gotten. Since yours is a Compaq, I would have figured you'd
have to get RAM
designed for it.
